Support Groups for Caregivers — Morris
These support groups are designed specifically for caregivers. There are many other support groups designed for people living with a specific disability or chronic illness. Search online, or reach out to your local hospital and medical network for help in locating disability and disease-specific support groups in your area.
Alzheimer's Family Support Group: Rockaway JFS of MetroWest NJ offers emotional support and education to families and caregivers to better understand Alzheimer's and Dementia. Meets the last Thursday of the month at 1pm at the Morristown Medical Health Pavilion, 3rd floor Conference Room #1, 333 Mount Hope Ave., Rockaway. Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA): Morristown For caregivers and individuals with mood disorders. Meets Tuesdays from 7:30pm - 9:00pm at Morristown Unitarian Fellowship, 21 Normandy Heights Rd, Morristown. Led by trained facilitators who also have mood disorders. Intensive Family Support Services Support Group: Denville For caregivers and families who are caring for individuals with a mental illness. Stroke Support Group: Offered through Morristown Medical Center, this stroke support group holds virtual meetings for caregivers on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 1 pm.
